Well hello everyone. It has been a little while since I have done any bloging. I have been very busy getting ready for the show, on top of training six other horses, giving lessons on weekends and working full time as a machinist in arlington. It has been a lot of very long days. None the less Bella and I are more than ready for Oregon.

On top of all that Bella has attracted some attention from the local news papers. On Sunday the 8th of March Bella and I where in the Everett Hareld on the front page of the local section. It is a very nice article with a very nice picture. If you have can get a paper check it out. If not you can find it online.

From now till the show I will try to blog a little more for those of you that have been following the blog. I hope to see all of you in oregon at the show. Till the keep checking the blog I am going to try to get some pretty cool stuff posted on it.

Ok so its been a little while since i gave an update on Bella. I will have more movies and pics of her soon. What I can tell you is this. No I have not had her in any shows and I am not winning any ribbons of of her but she is going to be a horse to compete against an Oregon.

I will give you a little about where she is at. More will come with the video and pics. I don't want anyone thinking that I am full of it.

Right now I could not ask Bell to be any further along. She has given me everything and more. on day 48 of training i took the bridle of and rode her bridless in the arena. With no bridle she was turning and giving me sliding stops. Doing it so well that I was almost speachless (almost). Not very often that I am short of words. I have since continued to ride her bridless not yet outside the arena though. Her stops are amazing her go is awesome. She has a side pass to die for and her spins are coming along just fine. On day 50 I took her on a long hard trail ride with the BCH and had a lot of fun. Water no problem, bridges a piece of cake, mud whats that. This horse is amazing.

This last Sunday I took her up to stargate ranch and rode in the big riening arena. There where horses everywhere. Sliding, spinning, and flyin around the arena. We just did our own thing. Worked on our own stops and transitions. Really workin on the fast pace stuff.

For those of you that like a horse that can ride the range like I do, this is the mustang to have. Don't let her size fool you. She can cover some ground with the best of them. You can through your rope and crack your whip off of her too.

Feel the need to do some stunt riding, no problem. You can jump on from both sides and the back. Stand up on her and even do a backflip without her moving. Oh yeah and you can get on and off her normal just fine too.

Bella is one of the most enjoyable horses I have ever had the opertunity to work with. It is really going to be hard to part with her. I am really excited to see what the last half of training brings.

Like I said I will have video and pics of her up soon. Wouldn't want people to think that I am making these things up. Come back and see the proof.

Bella Day 21

So its not much and I am no profesional but it works. This is a few videos i took yesterday.

She is coming along good. Still a little jumpy but not to bad. Her stops are coming along good along with everything else. I rode her around outside yesterday for the first time. I plan on trying to get her out to the Back Country Horseman New Years ride in the tree farm on New Years day. She is definately going to be a competitor

A little more riding. Bella is coming along just fine. She is right were I want her to be. I could not ask for any more at this point or any less.

I will have to say that the weather is putting a kittke damper in the training. Not to bad since I am indoors but the 10 degree temperature is a little hard to bare for long periods at a time. None the less I am making good progress on her. Her ground work is going awesome and riding is coming along great.

Soon she will be doing backflips and hand stands. I guess you will just have to come back to see more.

Day four of training is a success. I got on her with no problems. She stood there like she had been doing it her whole life. Almost like she was wondering what took me so long. I guess that is what good ground work gets you. Don't leave any holes unfilled (thank you Ken).

She is turning out to be a joy to be with. she is coming up to me when I go and get her now and she looks almost excited to see me in the morning.

Now thats what I am talkin about

This is day three with Bella. She loves the tarp.

This was her first time in the arena and she went straight for the tarp. She thought the the tarp was base so she would run and stand on it. I worked her in the round pen ther for awhile with people everywhere. Steve was walking around picking up her messes and kicking balls at her.

O can not wait to see what the next day is going to bring. So far she has been a dream. I think I might ride her tomorrow. We will see how far we get with her ground work.

This was Bella's first day of training. Today was my day to see how willing she was going to be. By the end of the day i was brushing her from her nose to her but. That is as far as she was willing to let me get for now.

She is looking much better now that I got to get all the nasty wind braids out of her hair. The Tale is next.

So far she seems very willing> She is a very curiouse little pony. Seems that she really wants a friend.

I know the blog is a little late but bare with me.

This is Bella on Sunday 12/7/08. The day after we brought her home. I let her have the day off after ther long journy back to arlington.

She ended up being on the trailer for about twelve hours since we had a little truck trouble and had to change the alternator. She was just fine though when we got home.

Day one of training will be on 12/8/08.
